How Vido works
From link to finished page in a few seconds. Here is exactly what happens.
Step 1: paste a link
We accept standard watch links, youtu.be short links, Shorts, embeds and live URLs. You can also paste the 11-character video ID.
Step 2: we write the page
We look up the public title, thumbnail and channel using YouTube's oEmbed service, then generate an overview article with AI. The first time a video is processed takes a little longer. After that, the page is stored and loads instantly.
Step 3: read and share
You land on a page with the player, the summary and share buttons. Copy the link and send it anywhere.
What we do not do
- We do not download, copy or re-host the video
- We do not transcribe audio
- We do not require an account
